It’s that time of the month and the last CineMe Shorts of 2014.
This month CineMe host Bristol animator Sam Morrison (http://theevilgenius.co.uk/), who will be showing his ‘Rocket Science Trilogy’ and some of his other animated works.
Sam’s skills include writing, directing, animation and illustration. He has made short films (8 in total) and TV commercials (too many to count), since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1997, and began writing for television in 2009.
Sam has written multiple episodes of the BAFTA winning series Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, as well as episodes of Shaun the Sheep and Octonauts. He has also worked as a director for various clients including the BBC and Channel Four. Made commercials for Aardman Animations and Nexus Productions. Whilst also making animations for theatre companies and acting as a script editor and contributing writer on many short films. Two of whom (Heavy Pockets and His Passionate Bride) were shortlisted for BAFTAs.
Sam will be screening a selection of his short film animations including the brilliant ‘Rocket Science Trilogy.’
These films are set in the world of detective Jack Hersey, who leads the Grime City police force. The trilogy includes Rocket Science, Grime City P.D. and The Patsy.
Sam will be talking about his work, career and offering advice to animators and writers. He will also be joined by Andrew Endersby (co-creator and co-writer) and Ian Hickman (animator on all three films).
