INDIETRACKS (Dir. Jeanie Finlay, 2016) is a lovely short doc that just shines with DIY spirit!
Indietracks is an annual indie pop music festival held at the Midland Railway Centre in Butterley, Derbyshire that combines heritage trains and indiepop music. Camera Obscura, Saint Etienne, Teenage Fanclub, Emmy The Great and Art Brut have all played there.
Last year this annual shindig was the subject of a new documentary by acclaimed film maker Jeanie Finlay (Sound it Out, The Great Hip Hop Hoax).
Join us for a Pay as you feel screening of the film on Friday night. The bar will be open and there might be a few of Leeds’ indie hopefuls on the screen that you recognise?!
HEART and Scalarama Leeds volunteers have organised this event to promote the showing of film in all kinds of venues. Donations to the Support HEART Fund would be very much appreciated, but no one turned away for lack of funds.
Film starts at 8pm – it is 30 minutes long.
