This artifice supports a story that contains great emotional charge
Phenomenal movie! These actors should be in the running for a Oscar. The direction is phenomenal. The suspense is unparalleled. The special effects are unprecedented. The way they develop the characters creates an atmosphere reminiscent of Gone With The Wind. I expect this movie to sweep the Oscars. There are a few things I should point out that, in case you missed it, make the movie the amazing piece that it is.

1: they shoot dozens of rounds and no spent shells are ever ejected 2: the aliens wear mittens and look like…….POWER RANGERS! 3: the faraday room has windows 4: the call the guy they kicked out for a super, double, top secret mission 5: everything about this movie

I recommend you purchase this movie. This is an instant classic. It will be decades before you see a movie of this caliber.

Entertainingly awful
The acting is woeful (the lead actress is hilariously impossibly inept), the plot is inane, the SEALs are portrayed as untrained dunderheads, the aliens are obviously stuntmen in rubber jump suits, and the budget wouldn’t cover a trip to the drive-thru for the cast. Despite these minor limitations, the movie held my attention for the duration.

Now in all honesty my attention was not exactly focused on the on-screen action. Instead, I was wondering why these people decided to go into acting, how they could have been selected during the casting call and what their competition was like, and why no one told them their talents lie elsewhere. Somewhere very very far away.

Six stars for being so bad it defies reason. Minus one star for the lead actress because come on, she has to be the girlfriend of someone involved in the production. There is just no other explanation for her appearing on screen. Five stars.
