Terrible acting
The plot 7. The acting though besides the kid who played Porkchop is TERRIBLE. The main character Laurie is supposed to be 16/17 in the movie, it is so laughable that the actress playing her is 28 but looks well into her 30s.

Lame movie that could have been better if better actors were cast.

A low budget horror film done right
I love horror films and have learned that low budget horror is usually a hit or a miss. Black Pumpkin doesn’t try to be anything but a 90 minute funhouse ride, and that is why it is a hit.
