daft excellence
This is a horrish,slasherlike bloodgore movie based on deceift and lack of parental love. it is a school film,but bends of very fast to not to be.lots of madness and why did they do that-feeling hits me during the watching. the teenage cast are really good,some of the performances are brilliant ,but itis damaged by a poor screenplay.the filmography and editing saves some of the glory.,it is not a rewatch for me.

Very patchy movie gets better as it progreses
A young boy with seriously nutty parents begins cross dressing – well, once anyway – and so, of course, is shipped off to a boarding school for disturbed children. The boarding school is unusual in that it only has seven pupils and one teacher who, as these people so often are in movies, is a bit of a religious nut. All is not as it seems at this school. In fact the cross-dressing boy seems to be the sanest of those there. As the movie progresses, we learn what is really happening at this peculiar residential educational facility.

I would be lying if I said this is a good movie. Unfortunately, it is too lacking in subtlety and far too contrived for that. At times, the attempts to build the atmosphere and make the characters seem sinister and disturbed are just so obvious and heavy handed it is painful to watch. This is supposedly a psychological thriller. Unfortunately, it isn’t thrilling at all.

It all changes towards the end however, (as is appropriate) with some very interesting and unexpected plot twists that suddenly make the viewer sit up and take notice. They almost make you forgive the director for the confusing mish mash of a plot you had to endure up to that point.
