A Hyperbole of Emo’s vs Christians at School
I mean, it’s not the best movie ever, but it’s pretty relatable. I go to a college in the US and, while we don’t have a bunch of emos sulking around (this isn’t 2006), we do have Christians. They don’t sing or wear long skirts, but they do hand out flyers EVERYDAY, and if you’re sitting alone in the cafeteria minding your own business trying to get some homework done, Jesus’ disciples will come ask you to go to bible study. Even if you say “honestly, I’m not that interested” they will continue pestering you, asking you if you want some leftover baked goods. No, Timothy, Sarah, I don’t want your fucking mini-cupcakes, I want to study for my botany test. Kindly remove yourself from my personal bubble.

Christianity for teenagers
It wasn’t a masterpiece, but this is a feel-good teenage drama that might be seen as controversial – as everything that includes religion certainly is. It presents a sweet story with a dark sense of humour and I particularly like the message it tries to send: people don’t have to be one thing and it takes courage to be who you are, but it’s totally worth it.
