Couldn’t watch it all
My disclaimer here is that I didn’t get past the first 10 minutes. Why, you ask? Because while describing the beginning of the fire when the narrator talked about how the security guard began to respond to the alarm, they said, “he wastes 30 precious minutes”. The alarm went off in the attic “40 meters above them”, so it stands to reason that the security guard would have trouble locating the cause of the alarm. To me, it implies that the destruction of the building was mostly the security guard’s fault due to lack of quick response. I’m sure everyone will think this isn’t a big deal, but it is. This is a person’s reputation at stake. The fire was shown all over the world, constantly. If the message was related that the security guard was at fault, imagine how that could have played out. I won’t mention the possibilities, but let’s just say he/she would have been a target.
Now, if the guard was actually negligent and refused to investigate or was missing in action, then that changes the narrative, obviously. But if that was the case, that would have been said, right?
Yes, I notice small details because they matter. So I’m taking a pass on watching this because of that reason alone.
