Moving there with her unemployed husband Mikel and their daughter Nora, Alicia meets again with her younger sister Sara and she meets Ana, Victoria’s nurse assistant. At the same time that Alicia tries to reconcile her present with a hard childhood due to the abusive and dominant Victoria, a witch turned crazy after the death of her husband (Alicia and Sara’s father) and she blamed them by it, Mikel finds a job in the port town, and Nora meets a strange little girl, Luna, who bad behavior and attitude starts to affect her. Suspecting about her own mother despite the coma, the changes in Nora makes Alicia to think in an evil plot with Nora as objective after Victoria named her universal heiress in the will, and specially after to find Victoria’s tools for practice witchcraft. Denied to die and looking for a different kind of immortality, Victoria’s plan closes around her granddaughter, while Alicia starts a race against time to save Nora before it be too much late.
Plot: After moving back to her family home to care for her dying mother, a nurse haunted by her childhood memories must struggle with an evil force in the house.

This movie is all over the place…
I didn’t find this to be a slow burn as some have sugggested, but I found it to be very disjointed and didn’t pace well. Too many things are happening that you don’t know what the story is, until toward the latter half, and even then it was still all over the place. It is like a ghost movie, no wait its a possession movie, no wait its a witch movie, no its a revenge movie…..sigh. It is like it didn’t know where to go with all of the activity…oh yeah there is poltergeist activity too. Good grief this was difficult to watch and try to stay focused.

Dumb
Normally I ramble on about cinematography, effects, acting… but there are just so many dumb moments in this movie it overshadows everything else. You have the main character Nora, who is given no build as to why she does the things she does. You have characters who do painfully stupid things, like when the sister/aunt follows the commands of the evil children including digging her own grave even saying “why are you making me do this?” They are unarmed children for petes sake. There is a part where all the kids are making fun of a little girl, and the teacher doesn’t say anything. She just waddles around. It makes you want to pull your hair out. Then the ending is like “oh you have to be evil now” and the girl is like “okay”. The end. Bad.
