Juvenile Failed Humor
The DVD cover is 100% misleading as to what you get in the movie. Very low budget. Intro for what it’s worth: “Rated X by an all-Christian jury.” As it turns out there was nothing X about it unless you think clergy shouldn’t become semi-monsters & chase hookers. First sign that this is not going to be a normal anything was a scene in which mom & dad standing next to their car are waving to clergy son; we hear an explosion; mom/dad/car all gone – like vanished w/no debris, no effects, etc., but there is a typed message in their place, “VFX: Car on fire.” And on it goes w/the rest of the movie is comprised of purposeful cheap props e.g. paper mâché dinosaur, mannequin heads for human heads when chopped off, very ketchup looking fake blood. The point of this mostly talking heads was to be funny or sardonic – but wasn’t; just dumb; save time & ff.
